The Funkaphiles

The Funkaphiles perform familiar crowd pleasing R&B and Popular music hits with an original and creative approach.  Featuring the impressive talents of Saxophonist Mr. Jason Gay, the Funkaphiles play the late 80s/early 90s music of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Babyface, Bobby Brown, TLC, Johnny Gill, and many of your other favorite performing artists.

Ms. Riya Davis - Vocals

Mr. Jason Gay - Saxophone

Mr. Timothy Mac Master - Keyboards & Guitar

Mr. Nathan Ng - Bass Guitar

Mr. Marcus Watts - Drums

 

For public performances expect to see many of Honolulu's most talented musicians performing as the "special guests"  of the Funkaphiles.  The Funkaphiles are currently sponsoring, and performing at, the "Final Friday Funkfest" event at the Jazzminds Night Club at 1661 Kapiolani Blvd. on the last Friday night of every month. 

 

For private events, The Funkaphiles can play your favorite requests from any genre of music.  The Funkaphiles are highly skilled and versatile professional musicians who can start your event with quiet and melodic jazz standards (performed at a volume that will not disturb your dinner conversations) and finish it with dance floor R&B, Pop and Rock favorites.
